Monaco, 28 August 2026 - The Board of Monaco Mediax announces the appointment of Amparo Di Fede as General Director, following the departure of Laurent Puons.
This appointment marks a new chapter in the company’s development, reflecting its commitment to continuity, innovation and the consolidation of its activities, while reaffirming the values of excellence that have shaped Monaco Mediax’ reputation. With more than 30 years at Monaco Mediax, Amparo Di Fede has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth and evolution, holding several senior management positions. From 2003 to 2018, she served as General Manager of SPORTEL. During this period, she notably launched the first SPORTEL event to be held abroad, in the United States, followed by further editions in Asia, North America and South America, contributing significantly to the international development of the SPORTEL brand. Currently Chief Administrative and Financial Officer, a position she will retain alongside her new responsibilities, Amparo Di Fede brings extensive expertise in management, organisation and business development. Drawing on her experience, her in-depth knowledge of Monaco Mediax’ events and her understanding of the strategic challenges facing the industry, she assumes the leadership of Monaco Mediax with the ambition of pursuing its development in an ever-changing environment.

Alongside the General Director, the Executive Directors leading the company’s various event activities will take on enhanced responsibilities, reinforcing the collective expertise and momentum that drive Monaco Mediax forward. With this organisation in place, Monaco Mediax reaffirms its ambition to build on the strength of its three flagship brands, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, SPORTEL and the SPORTEL Awards, and to further establish its position as a leading organiser of international events dedicated to the television, sports and media industries.
